The Takanawa-Shinagawa area has good access from Haneda Airport (Tokyo International Airport), with the fastest connections to Shinagawa Station taking about 11 minutes. It also has a concentration of entertainment facilities, including an aquarium and cinemas.

Shiba is an area rich in Japanese culture and greenery, reflected in the graceful shape of Tokyo Tower, Zojo-ji Temple, and Shiba Park.

The Shinjuku area is noted for the famous Kabukicho nightlife district as well as its cinemas and other entertainment facilities. With its big-name department stores, it is also an excellent place for shopping, offering everything from fashion to household goods. Seibu Railway provides convenient links for tourists visiting Kawagoe, a city that retains historic townscapes dating back to the Edo Period (1603–1868). Ikebukuro has a convenient range of facilities, including an aquarium, a number of shopping malls, and the Sunshine City leisure and entertainment complex with its many restaurants and fashion stores. Shin-Yokohama Station is 15 minutes from Tokyo's Shinagawa Station on the Tokaido Shinkansen bullet train. Near the station are the Yokohama Arena, a venue for concerts and other events, and Nissan Stadium, which hosts international soccer matches. Also nearby is the Shin-Yokohama Raumen Museum, which is said to have pioneered the concept of a gastronomic theme park. A short journey from here, visitors can stroll through Yamashita Park and explore the cosmopolitan atmosphere of Chinatown and the other downtown locations.
