Izu-Nagaoka Onsen, one of Japan's most noted hot spring resorts, is about 30 minutes' drive from Mishima Station, which is about one hour's ride from Tokyo on the Tokaido Shinkansen bullet train. Nearby is the Nirayama Reverberatory Furnace, which was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2015. Kawana is the location of the Kawana Hotel Fuji Golf Course, a dream location for golfers that has been named as one of the world's top 100 courses.
