Karuizawa is one of the best known of Japan's highland resorts, where visitors have traditionally come to escape the heat of summer. Only about one hour from the center of Tokyo by Shinkansen (bullet train), Karuizawa nevertheless offers a rich natural environment and landscapes that reflect the charms of the four seasons—blossoms in spring, lush greenery in summer, autumn colors, and winter snowscapes. The resort attracts large numbers of travelers year round to visit the Karuizawa Prince Shopping Plaza, which boasts around 240 retail stores. Visitors can also indulge in hot springs, golf, cycling, winter sports, and a wide range of other activities. We operate four hotels in the area for guests to choose from according to the purpose of their stay. Some of our accommodations offer villas and cottages spaciously arranged in a forested area where the family can enjoy its own private space. Some offer an other-worldly tranquility, while others are ideally situated for tourist facilities.
KARUIZAWA PRINCE SHOPPING PLAZA is about three minutes' walk from the south exit of Karuizawa Station.
