Situated at an altitude of 1,800 meters, Manza is Japan's highest hot spring resort and boasts of being the closest to the stars, making a soak in an open-air hot tub under the wide-open night skies an unforgettable experience.
Manza is a place where the grandeur of nature can be enjoyed throughout the seasons: in spring the mountains are a treasure house of alpine plants, while the summer is refreshingly cool. Autumn is for hiking amid the blazing color of the mountainsides, while winter offers skiing in the powder snow. The abundant hot springs are among those with Japan's highest content of sulfur, which has a range of benefits including effectiveness against neuralgic pain and fatigue and a beautifying effect on the skin.
